Jeff Parker and The Hulkverse

The whole Hulkverse wants to know why Marvel passed up on Jeff Parker to write Green Hulk. Being a fan favorite Hulk fans rejoiced at the notion Parker could be coming on board to write the Jade Giant. Quite envious of the adventures and story Red She-Hulk of late. Sometimes I am reading Parker's work and screaming at the top of my lungs.."Why can't this be Hulk in this comic". Jeff Parker writes with a passion for Hulk since PAD and Pak when it comes to all things Gamma. He has a knack to find these little characters and make them big and interesting again. One noticeable such character goes by the name Aaron Stacks aka Machine Man. Who we seen come to life from Jeff Parker and Hardman's Hulk series. This is not a knock on Mark Waid at all. But it is obvious Jeff Parker has put the time and effort into the Hulkverse. Marvel should let him spearhead all three titles..from Thunderbolts, Red She-Hulk to Indestructible Hulk. Let him have his own little corner in the Marvel Universe to work his gamma magic. Sorta like what Bendis did with Avengers and now X-Men. Jeff Parker is a A list talent when it comes to writing comics...especially the Hulk. Hopefully Parker gets his just due and Marvel is listening. It would suffice if he did a Indestructible Hulk Annual. Just enough to wet our taste buds. Give Jeff Parker the whole Hulkverse.

Indestructible Hulk Progress Report 1.0

INDESTRUCTIBLE HULK: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. #1-5

Waid writes a excellent Banner. In love with Banner having a supporting cast. Not so sure about Mark trying to infuse street level writing with a walking Gamma Nuke like Hulk. It seems Mark Waid is afraid of unleashing Hulk. Even the one he has promised us hasn't shown up yet. The Force of Nature that was shoved down our throats has not come to pass. Mark is giving us a healthy dose of seeing Banner and Hulk. But it is painstaking obvious he favors writing Bruce Banner more. We have not seen any depth or emotion from Hulk. He refuses to really acknowledge Hulk as a being in some sense. Two to three word sentences seems to be too much to ask for in a Hulk comic. One thing I can say for Mark..is his line up of opponents for Hulk. Quintronic Man, Attuma to Frost Giants. Attuma is the only one thus far that has me excited to see him and Hulk interact again. Not really digging the Frost Giants or Hulk's interaction with them. Bringing in Walt to me was a mistake. Yes he is a legend..but Yu's pencils would of been better suited for Asgard and this arc. Imagine if Matteo was drawing Gods and Monsters or at least rotating issues. My fingers are crossed for Year Two of  Indestructible Hulk.
